This newly renovated group of three small cottages is nestled along May Brook on over an acre of land, directly across the dirt road from Pageant Park Beach at Crystal Lake. Originally built as a family retreat, this property maintains much of it's decades old charm. Until recently, these cottages were privately owned and rarely rented. We were lucky enough to purchased all three in Early Spring 2021. Our goal is to provide small gatherings of guests with a comfortable private stay along the brook with all of the natural beauty Crystal Lake has to offer. Our opening season the rate is only $300 per day for the entire 1.2 acre property which includes May Brook Falls and passes to Pageant Park Beach. We have completely renovated all three cottages. Enjoy an eclectic mix of antique furnishings along with new beds, bathrooms and kitchens, smart TV's and wifi! Check in is anytime after 4pm and check out is 11am. You'll find great views of the beach and lake, a well maintained sandy, permit only beach at Pageant Park, and plenty of out door space at the cabins. Located along a trout river just across the bridge from a small village in the heart of Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom, our Victorian Farmhouse is an ideal retreat, especially if you like working from "home" with beautiful scenery and country living. Our house is a Victorian farmhouse that we purchased at auction in 1999 and lovingly renovated over the past 20 years. Originally built in the 1800’s, we have outfitted the home with modern conveniences, while trying to preserve its original charm. The farmhouse sits on 17 acres, abutting 100 acres of cornfield in the Vermont Land Use Program which ensures the land can never be developed. We raise dogs in the original three story horse barn. We also have a large organic garden each summer. Looking toward the river, you would not guess you were only a a short walk to the post office, pharmacy, restaurants and the grocery store just a block away. Crystal Lake is close by and has two nice sandy beaches -- you can walk or drive. The farm is also directly in the VAST Trail to Canada, making it a great 4 season getaway!

Privacy & nature. Lots of walking paths on many acres of land. Although it is secluded, you are only 2 miles from town with a convenient grocery store. The private pond is clean and spring fed, so it is enjoyable for swimming, paddling, rowing or floating. We are conveniently located 1.5 miles off the Interstate 91, so traveling is very easy to visit many places in the area. The house used to be a late 1700's tavern for the settlers of the area to get a meal and room to sleep the night while traveling the Hinman Settlers Road. It’s in a pretty private area, not a lot of road traffic. Dogs are ok. Lots of hiking within a short drive of property. This an actually sleep more than 6. There’s 2 queen sized beds, 1 twin, 3 large couches 1 which folds out to a bed.

There is a full kitchen with a fridge, microwave, electric range, toaster, and coffeemaker - we will provide dish soap, hand soap, a roll of paper towels and toilet paper. Vacation Station is brought to you by the owners of the Honey Moon Cottage (Homeaway #4011055) just 3 cottages away up a private dirt drive! Both cottages share the same private beach and are quiet, private and dog friendly! Vacation Station was built in the 1930's as part of the Edgewood Park Resort on Lake Willoughby in Westmore, Vermont. This small family association had more than a dozen cottages complete with a roller rink, mess hall, tennis courts, sandy beach and activities reminiscent of the Patrick Swayze movie Dirty Dancing. Only a handful of these summer cottages have stood the test of time, and thankfully Vacation Station - so called because of the antique train which chugs the length of the loft and extends around living room ceiling - is one of them! The first round of renovations happened in 2019. We jacked the house and put it on a new foundation. We also renovated the main bath and turned the old outdoor shower with dressing room into a private master bath. We also added a deck with outdoor shower attached to the second bedroom. Out back, we created a seating area with grill and picnic table off the deck and put in a private yard with firepit and seating area behind the barn. A smart tv and wifi were also added. The second round of renovations happens in Spring 2021 with a renovated kitchen, screen porch, dining room and downstairs bedrooms and rewiring and insulation in the kids' loft to help keep the cottage cool in summer and warm in fall. Enjoy 2 bedrooms on the ground floor--the master has it's own small private bath. Between the two large bedrooms is a large bathroom with a refurbished clawfoot tub, plus an outdoor shower off the deck. The third sleeping space is a large loft overlooking the living room for the kids with a twin bed and nightstand at each end! Outside enjoy the back deck with gas grill, an outdoor table and benches. A perfect getaway at one of Vermont’s most beautiful and deepest glacial lakes. We have begun restoring our 1920 cottage. The new deck and landscaping have just been completed along with foundation work and a new roof. The Pisgah Cottage is a romantic and private with vast water views. It has one bedroom with a new queen bed, TV and has a jacuzzi tub in the room. The bathroom has a shower with all the usual amenities plus new towels & soaps provided. Enjoy the views from the living room on the new sectional sofa and just added a new smart television with direct TV by the fire. The full kitchen is well stocked to prepare all meals just bring the ingredients. Oils and some spices are provided. Take in the stunning views while dining and relax on the deck overlooking the water and walk down the steps to the private dock. We have a new gas grill. Both cottages share the same private beach and are quiet, private and dog friendly! Centrally located in the heart of Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom, The Honeymoon Cottage is the ideal place for family vacations, honeymoons, hiking/kayaking/biking adventures, fishing trips and more! The Honeymoon Cottage was built at the dead end of a dirt road as a guesthouse in 1930 as part of a resort along the lines of the Patrick Swayze Dirty Dancing movie, in which people from away would rent a cottage with access to a mess hall, roller rink, tennis courts and of course the beach. Only vestiges remain with the kind of privacy, views and open space that you would expect. Many of the larger houses were torn down, including the main house to the Honeymoon Cottage. We tried to save it, but it was too far gone and we had to tear it down in 2018. Now there are only a handful of places left in the association. We have since purchased another 1930's cottage just down the drive and are already getting ready for your enjoyment! The Honeymoon Cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed and a small bunk room with built in bunk beds and french doors leading to a brand new deck with panoramic views overlooking the lake and mountains. There is one bath with a walk in shower. It can sleep 2 adults and 2 children comfortably. Where the main house once stood, we have built a large dog yard. Inquire about it if you want to bring pets! Sitting on top of a knoll which overlooks the lake to the famous Willoughby Gap and mountains, this comfy cottage rests at the end of a short dead-end dirt road so it received ZERO through traffic. With all the amenities needed to make it the perfect seasonal getaway for family and friends, why stay anywhere else in Vermont! The Honeymoon Cottage has a cozy dining table with umbrella on the deck with great morning views perfect for enjoying a quick breakfast before you head down to the sandy beach to the lake for swimming, fishing or boating. We keep our canoe at the beach and you are welcome to use it -- or bring your own boat as the public fishing access is only a mile away with free parking. There's also ample seating around the firepit - the perfect place for a sunset bonfire. The fishing access with boat launch is just minutes down the road and there are two large public beaches in addition to our small private one. There are several small country stores where you can stock up on fishing supplies, beach gear or just stop for a pizza, soft serve ice cream or deli sandwich and a bar and restaurant nearby. You do not have to drive into town!

There is a nice public beach just steps away from the camp, but our water front also has shallow depths great for wading or swimming. Please feel free to bring you own water craft, but it is required that you have any water craft (kayaks, sail boats, etc.) power washed by the Vermont fish and wildlife station at the boat access before it can be put in the water. Shadow lake is clean and invasive species free body of water and with your help we can keep it that way. Bring your fishing gear! shadow is a deep-water lake and has many varieties of fish that you can catch from the boat or right from our dock. The local general store is Curriers they have everything you could want from food to fishing gear you can even get your fishing license there also. Explore the back roads where you may see many kinds of wildlife including moose and bears, enjoy Parker Pie Co, world renowned Bread and Puppet theater, Also close to Cabot Creamery, world famous Hill Farmstead brewery and Ben & Jerrys ice cream factory . Enjoy breakfast or lunch at the busy bee in town. Head to Greensboro or Craftsbury for band concerts and plays or the Maple grove farm and museum in ST Johnsbury. You will be 30 minutes from the Canadian border so bring you passport and do a day trip. "Crooked Window Cottage" lakefront lodging on beautiful Shadow Lake in Glover, Vermont. This new in 2016 two bedroom home is attached to our main house and provides everything necessary for a wonderful vacation get-away! There is a separate entrance, deck and driveway and your privacy is assured, but we are right next door to offer help and advice on local points of interest if needed. There is an 18 foot long breezeway that separates the main house from the cottage and there are no shared walls between the two spaces...we value your privacy and ours. The 900 square foot unit has two bedrooms upstairs, one with a full size bed and one with one twin bed and one full size bed, a full bath with gorgeous tile shower and a fully equipped kitchen with gleaming granite counter tops. There are hardwood floors throughout. There is a flat screen TV with cable and wireless internet access. All linens are provided. The views of the lake are spectacular and there is a private beach area and dock along with a rowboat for your use. There is also a large deck off of the living room. Shadow Lake is a 199 acre freshwater lake with lots of good fishing and swimming. Glover is located in the Northeast Kingdom and close to several ski areas. There is a general store in town along with Parker Pie, Red Sky Trading and the Bread and Puppet Museum. There are several other shops, including antiques, in nearby Barton. There are other lakes close by, including the famous Lake Willoughby, and the world renowned Hill Farmstead Brewery is about 10 minutes away. In the summer, Greensboro (about 15 minutes) offers live theater. Cabot Creamery is about a half hour away and Ben and Jerry's is about 40 minutes, along with Lost Nation Brewery and the Alchemist near Stowe. We are about 20 miles from the Canadian border and Lake Memphramagog. There are plenty of hiking and biking opportunities in the area, so you can have an active vacation or just relax and listen to the call of the loons.

Daniels Pond is a 66-acre pond of quiet, pristine water, well known for the spectacular, romantic sunsets. It's "quiet water", because Vermont does not allow powerboats or jet skis here. With only 19 cottages on the water, you will enjoy space and privacy to reconnect with nature here! Enjoy snowshoeing, skiing, fishing, swimming, use of our canoe and rowboat. Feel free to bring your own kayaks as it takes about an hour to paddle around the pond. Right outside your door is the level yard, picnic table, private dock, and shoreline. The cottage is located on a very quiet dead-end road. A great place to walk, play, ride bikes, explore the back roads and enjoy the water. This is a majestic place that gives you a wonderful sense of getting back to nature and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Sip your morning coffee on the porch or watch the beautiful sunset off the dock. The cottage has an open space concept so you are never left out of what is happening with your family or friends.The kitchen is fully equipped with all manner of pots and pans, griddle for the gas stove, blender, mixers and everything for your cooking needs and baking. I leave spices and also flour and sugars are there for your use. There are herbs outside the back door that you can pick as well as flowers to cut. Eat in at the large table in the dining area that seats 10 comfortably or move to the screened porch which has a table, several chairs and porch swing. The double french doors open to the living room extending the feeling of being outside while you sit and relax reading a book or playing board games.We have several board games to choose from in the hutch as well as many books for your reading pleasure. Two kayaks, canoe and a small john boat are at your disposal for paddling around the pond, fish off the dock with little ones, just grab poles from the shed, or just hang out in the hammock. Enjoy a campfire at night by the shore and roast marshmallows. The downstairs bedroom features twin beds with an adjacent bathroom with shower tub combination. The two large spacious bedrooms upstairs have queen size beds, one with a memory foam mattress. The master bedroom has a queen size mattress with adjustable head and foot mechanism. There are two wall lamps over the padded headboard for reading in bed. Both bedrooms have lots of closet space as well as bureau storage. There is plenty of room to set up a crib in either upstairs bedroom. The upstairs bathroom has a walk in shower with seat and shower bars.The laundry room features front loading washer and dryer and laundry soap is there for your use Our favorite places is the screened in porch overlooking the pond. Sit and sip your coffee or enjoy that glass of wine while swinging on the porch swing. Great place to sit in the evenings and listen to the call of the loons or hearing the frogs croaking. The house has gardens on all sides and we invite guest to clip herbs for their cooking pleasure. There are always hummingbirds around the garden and at the feeder. We feel very fortunate to have a pair of mature bald eagles that visit the pond and if you are lucky enough you might see them in the large pine next to the house. The blue heron flies by several times a day. The best, however, are our loons. Each year we wait to see if there will be a baby or two. We are protective of the loons so we ask guest not to paddle to closely to them.

A rustic yet updated cabin that is situated on a private road and is very peaceful.The fully renovated cabin consists of 2 downstairs bedrooms and an additional loft bedroom accessed by a spiral staircase. The main open area consists of a fully stocked kitchen that includes an espresso maker, hot chocolate maker for those chilly nights and an opd fashioned popcorn maker. The main room consists of the kitchen and a cozy living area. A few hundred feet from the cabin there is a water access point for swimming or launching your canoe or kayak. On the front of the cabin there is a deck with rattan patio furniture to enjoy the tranquility of the area and to listen to the loons at night. In 2019 we have gone green, adding a composting toilet and gray Water system. The toilet is very user-friendly . Instructions for use are posted in the bathroom.
